No Tracking

There are no analytics on this website. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, no advertising or attribution scripts, and no cookies set for tracking. Nothing on any page reports back that you visited it.

There are also no third-party requests of any kind. Poster art comes from TMDB, but it is downloaded when the site is built and served from here, so loading a page tells TMDB nothing about you. The same goes for fonts, which is why the site uses the ones already on your device instead of linking to somebody's font service.

What's Stored On Your Device

Two things, both in your browser's local storage, both on your device only.

What you have ticked off as watched and the grades you have given, under tt.state.v1. And your light or dark preference, if you change it from following your system, under tt.theme.

Neither is a cookie. Neither leaves your machine unless you make an account and press the button that moves it there. Clearing your browser data removes both, and the site carries on working without them.

Accounts

An account is an email address and nothing else. No password, no name, no date of birth, no phone number. You get a link, you click it, that is the whole of it.

The address is used to send you that link and for nothing else. There is no newsletter and no marketing. It is not shared and it is not sold, and there is no analytics company behind this that gets a copy.

While you are signed in there is one cookie, tt_session. It holds a random string and nothing else — no name, no address, nothing about you — and it exists so the site knows the session is yours. It is not used for tracking, it is not read by anyone else, and signing out ends it.

The site also keeps a salted hash of your network address for up to an hour, and only to stop somebody hammering the sign-in form. It is never attached to your account or to anything you have done, and the row deletes itself.

Who Runs This

One person, Madilyn Thomas, through Tanooki Studios LLC, in Florida. There is no company behind that with a different interest in your data, because there is no company behind that.
